Budget Souvenirs: Mickey Straws

Souvenir Mickey Straw sign

If you see this sign, just order the straw from the CM at the register

It would be difficult for you to find a cute souvenir more worthy of making it into your luggage home for a lower price than this one. At counter service locations in the Magic Kingdom, you can now buy a souvenir Mickey straw for right around fifty cents. The straws are available in different colors and I think they’re cute as a button. They’re made of hard plastic and are suitable to use and re-use and use again.

Mickey Straw

Cute, right?

I bought mine at Cosmic Ray’s in Tomorrowland, but I’ve seen them offered at several of the different counter service locations in the Magic Kingdom, including Pecos Bill’s and Columbia Harbour House. I have not seen them in the other parks, though I wouldn’t be surprised if they start to show up around the resort if they sell well in the Magic Kingdom. Strangely, the price for the straw varies a little depending on where you buy it, but only by a couple of pennies. The CM who served us our food at Cosmic Ray’s even asked my daughter which color straw she’d like and she went across the restaurant to find a red one for us when she didn’t have one at her station.

How can this idea not be a winner? It’s really inexpensive, comes in a variety of colors, packs easily into your suitcase to return home with you, and is something you can use after your trip to remember all the good times you had.

About Kathy

I'm a lifetime Disney Parks fan who recently (and coincidentally) found herself relocated to Central Florida. These are our adventures visiting the many attractions and exhibits that are all too easy to overlook in favor of the headliner and super-headliner attractions.
